ARAK:
Hot as a baking oven

Arak is the village/town half the way between In Salah and Tamanrasset, at a low elevation, and terribly hot. Arak is not much to stop for, but the nearby gorges are reported to by great, and very rewarding for its visitors.

Eat and Sleep
A nice camp site, with traditional houses, zeriba, houses made out of straw and grass. They serve food, too.

Transportation
If you get off the bus, either going south or north, getting on the next, could be difficult,- they're often filled up to the last seat. There should be 3 departures a week.
