Mutassim Gadhafi
Arabic: mu¢tassīm bi-lāhi 'al-qadhdhāfī

(Born 1974) Fourth son of Mu'ammar Gadhafi, the leader of Libya.
He now serves as Libya's National Security Advisor, in which capacity he oversees the nation's National Security Council. He and his older brother, Seif Al-Islam, are both seen as possible successors to their father. Mutassim is considered conservative and autocratic, close to his father's line, and quite the opposite of his brother. He has formed good alliances within the Libyan elite.
He is unmarried.
Biography
1974: Born as son of Libyan leader, Mu'ammar Gadhafi and his second wife, Safia Farkash.
2009: Meets with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
2010: Becomes National Security Advisor of Libya.
