Hawrami
Other spelling: Hewrami; Hurami; Auramani; Awromani

Iranian language (northwestern), spoken by an estimated 25,000 in Iran. It is often classified as a dialect of Gorani, sometimes even as the same as Gorani.
It is spoken in Hawraman, West Kordestan province, east of Sanandaj, also north of Kermanshah.
Hawrami is close to the ancient language Avestan, the language used for Zoroastrian religious texts.
It is often said to be the oldest dialect of the Zaza-Gorani languages.
Most Hawrami speakers are bilingual, also speaking Sorani Kurdish or Persian.
