In Ancient Egyptian Religion, god personifying the original waters of chaos.
According to the creation myth of Heliopolis, Nun belongs to the earliest stages of the creation of the world. It was from him, the sun-god Atum emerged.
Nun continued to be a force after the creation, but then representing the edge of the universe. In his world, the condemned and stillborn children resided.
Nun could also represent the netherworld, then he was represented as a bearded man holding a solar bark.
