A touch of the old world
Although much of the nice, colonial-style houses in Alexandria remain, very few colonial-style institutions do. Among the more charming exceptions to this, are the two Brazilian Coffee stores. One is a stand-up place where grumpy old men serve excellent coffee, the other (photo) is a welcome option for anyone craving an espresso and a croissant.
