Temple of Merneptah. Statues and the Israel Stele
Copy of the Israel Stele which now is exhibited in the National Museum in Cairo.
If the will had been there, the Temple of Merneptah could have been a place for great statues. But instead, the surving fragments of the statues are stored in a special house. It feels like a storage house, but this is the permanent exhibition. Among the items that intrigued me most were a couple of statues with heads resembling a dog's (lower photo).
