Ain Diab is located a short taxi or bus ride out from Casablanca centre. But — this is really not the place to arrive in a bus: Ain Diab is the place for the chic, and everything is oriented around private clubs along the beach and discos and Western style fast food restaurants along the main road.
Ain Diab in April, right before the season starts. The now empty beach clubs will soon be filled by more than the handful of brave kids swimming here now.
The closest that Casablanca comes to a night life where there is a equal participation between the sexes, is here in Ain Diab. But as a surprise to many: a good number of the discos do not serve alcohol. The night life opportunities might not yet be of European standards, but that is well compensated by the openness and friendliness of the Moroccans.
