Perhaps already been through the weird Boudenib, your expectations on Bouanane should be well tuned down to realistic. Bouanene red government houses with a few lost souls wandering about. Facilities are so limited that you wonder why there is a cluster of houses here at all.
Practicalities
No hotels or restaurants. Transportation out of here is extremely limited. With a bit of wait you will be able to connect to Boudenib or Er-Rachidia in the west or Bouarfa in the east. Er-Rachidia and Bouarfa offer good connections to further destinations. At times, travelling out here will bring you just kilometres away from the Algerian border. Be careful about wandering about, ask police for information.
