MEKNES
Koubba el-Khayatine

Meknes, Morocco

Meknes, Morocco

This was the reception hall for foreign ambassadors.
Next to the entrance there are shafts leading down to a huge crypt, which may have been a granary or a dungeon for Christian slaves.
Admission is 10dh, open every day, 9.00-12.00 and 15-18.00.
This building can also be referred to as Koubbat as-Sufara.
