The airport of Marrakech is often ranked among the world's most beautiful.

To/from Spain
There are several ferries and boats connecting Morocco to Spain. The most normal connection is between Algeciras and Tangier, but there are services between Algeciras and Ceuta (Spanish Morocco), Tarifa and Tangier, as well as Almería and Melilla (Spanish Morocco), which is brings you quickly between eastern Morocco, and a more eastern port in Spain. There are also services between Málaga and Melilla, and hopefully soon, also one between Almería and Nador. There are ferries running between Gibraltar, and Tetuan or Tangier.
There is little to gain from one company to another in respect of costs. The fare for a person is normally around US$20, with some discounts on a return trip. A car can be brought on all connections, except Gibraltar- Tetuan, and the cost here is around US$60 one way, with little hope for discounts on a return ticket. Note that none of the jet foils or catamarans used, can take cars.
All connections have a high frequency, and unless you arrive late at one of the ports, you will not get stuck overnight. Getting a ticket is normally easy, but beware that getting a car over to Africa in high season (summer) is not always to be relied upon.

To/from France
For those with a bit of money, the almost luxurious connection between Sète, and Tangier or Nador, can be considered. The cost is a horrendous US$240 and upwards for one person one way, or US$410 and upwards for a return ticket. And this does not include a place to sleep. something you need since the journey takes between 35 and 40 hours. If you bring a car expect to pay US$300 and upwards for one way.

To/from Algeria
There are two border crossings between Algeria and Morocco. The most common is on the road connecting Oujda and Tlemcen in the northern parts. The other is the one connecting Figuig and Beni Ounif, in southeastern Morocco. The border crossing takes longer time the more people are inside the vehicle, meaning that a car is better than bus, and bus is better than train (only in the north). Both border crossings offer zealous officials, and this has grown into a time consuming activity during the civil war of Algeria.

To/from Mauritania
There is only one border crossing between the two countries, and this is on the road going south from Dakhla to Nouadhibou in Mauritania. This border crossing is hardly administered by Moroccan officials. While Moroccan police control you frequently on the route along the Atlantic sea, there are only Mauritanian officials down here. Getting from Dakhla 350 km north of Nouadhibou is the main obstacle. You need an official permission, and you have to go in caravan under military protection. There should not be all too many problems getting this permission now, though. Getting back from Mauritania is more problematic, and you might be forced to do this in the dark, choosing a route unprotected by the few guards. Once on the Moroccan side, problems will occur. As you have no valid stamp in your passport for entering the country, expect to spend a couple of days in custody. But you will not be even close to getting killed or tortured.

By air
There are many possibilities for those travelling with airplanes.

CASABLANCA Most larger European destination, plus Gibraltar. Most Middle Eastern capitals. Nouakchott. New York. Montreal.
AGADIR Charter planes.
TANGIER Madrid, Gibraltar. Charter planes.
MARRAKECH Several French cities, Geneva, London, Rome, Munich, Madrid and Gibraltar. Charter planes.
OUJDA Several French cities, Amsterdam, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, and Stockholm.
FEZ Several French cities, Geneva, London, Rome, and Munich.
LAAYOUNE Abidjan, Libreville, and the Canary Islands.

Prices vary immensely from place to place, and somewhat from air carrier to air carrier. The best place to set out are Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Paris. The cheapest charter flights are often found in Scandinavia, but these are normally limited to Agadir during winter time.
