Walking around sites like this, trying to imagine the original look and feel of the structures is always intriguing. What is especially rewarding to take in at Arykanda is the bahts, located as far right as possible from the entrance. Walls rise some 10 metres high, with windows on two levels. Checkout the apse at one end.
Walking further uphill, you arrive at a small Christian temple(!). Yes, a temple, not a church! Those understanding Greek, will read "Jesus Christ is Victorious" on the east wall.
