Fethiye has plenty of accommodation, and is one of the few tourist-friendly places around here that may have a spare rooms even in high season. The town covers all standards, and value for money is fair and good. On the bad side, few of the places have owners that put their creativity into creating something special.
Restaurants in Fethiye are good and reasonably priced. It is, however, noted that some joints may put non-ordered items on the bill.
No surprise with its size and location, Fethiye has a good nightlife. Most options are bars, but there are sometimes live music at the Yasmin and always dancing at Disco Marina.
There are many boat trips arranged from Fethiye. Prices are reasonable, but it must be noted that what you get may not be awfully much. You should check well about what you will see, and how much time you have available. At a price, individual boat trips can also be arranged.
Fethiye has plenty of car rental agencies.
There are a few dive schools in Fethiye, but this may not be the best place to go diving. There is very little fish life left.
There are good connections in and out of Fethiye, mainly by minibuses. Five times a week, there are hydrofoil trips to and from the island of Rhodes, Greece. Prices are €55 one way, €85 return for adults, €38/60 for children 7-12 years. Check website.
