

One feature is of interest, but not without some insight into history: the tombs on top of the hill. To get here, set out for a 45 minute hard climb. The main attraction is a mausoleum built for Pericles (second photo), who saved Lycia from the ambitions of Mausolus in the 4th century BCE. It is a structure across two floors, the lower the grave, the upper a temple.
