The northern harbour was the weak spot of Phaselis, being an ideal landing place for aggressors. Heavy fortifications at this point illustrates the anxeity of the Phaselians. Better was the middle harbour which 18 metre entrance could be closed off.
The southern harbour was protected by a 180 metre breakwater, which now has sunken beneath the surface.



The southern harbour is a very romantic place.
